HOW MUCH DOES A CUSTOM DESIGN COST?

My custom wedding gowns typically vary between $4,500 - $7,500

However, as each situation & bride is unique, each design is also a reflection of that.

Therefore, price may fall short or exceed this average, depending on your design and fabric choice, which we discuss during your consolation.

IS CUSTOM DESIGN FOR ME?

Custom-made requires trust and imagination.

Some Brides need the security & certainty of seeing exactly what they’re getting from the start. In this case a ready-made gown may be the better suited journey for you. For alteration: Enquire here

Before you see the final product, it begins with initial sketches and concepts, the first fittings, where mock fabrics are involved without fashion fabric or additional lace or beading etc.

Your design evolves with each fit, you get to be a part of it’s creation & make specific design choices along the way! If that excites you, I’d love to play my small part of your Happily Ever After!

WHAT TIME FRAME IS REQUIRED FOR CUSTOM MADE?

I take bookings no further than 18 months out from a Bride’s wedding date. 12 months out is ideal to secure availability for the specific date. Roughly 6 months out is typically when we begin with a Bride’s first fittings.

However, if a Bride desires to lose a significant amount of weight, is pregnant, has a shorter engagement period or simply wishes to get the ball rolling sooner - we map out a game plan to work around your time frame and schedule.

HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?

25% upfront payment to secure your design and date. *Is non refundable if you change your mind*

this comes off your total gown price.

Fabrics and materials are purchased once 50% of your quote is paid.

Remaining is split into progress payments throughout. Typically due alongside each fitting.

WHAT IF I WANT TO MAKE CHANGES TO MY DESIGN?

Fit based alterations are included in the custom design process and are to be expected. Refining your design simply comes with the territory of making something completely from scratch.

However, significant design changes eg. if you decide you’d now love sleeves or a several meter long train added, additional fabrics/embellishments incorporated etc these will add to the cost of materials as well as labour. Which will therefore add to the total gown cost.

Re-quoting for new additions is always an option!

HOW MANY FITTINGS ARE REQUIRED?

Fittings required vary with the complexity of the gown. Typically 3-5 fittings.

WHAT DO I WEAR TO MY FITTING?

Correct under garments are VITAL, especially in the initial fittings, as there is yet to be full support or structure in the early stages of your gown.

Wear a bra you’re happy with the lift and shape it gives. Typically NOT a strapless. Even if your design has not shoulders, we want to shape those girls lifted and at their best.

Once the gown is complete, with support, boning, cups etc, a bra will not be necessary in most cases. If you plan on using shape-wear / skims bring them to each fitting.

WHO CAN I BRING FOR MY FITTINGS?

Those whose opinions you value and trust!

It’s fun to make an outing of it! Having a hype squad at your fittings enhances the experience for you and also assists in making various decisions. However, my fitting room isn’t huge, so 2-3 extras plus you and I is about all we can squish in comfortably.

WHO SUPPLIES THE MATERIALS?

I do!

I have an array of fabric suppliers here in Australia, such as: Sydney, Melbourne.  As well as the UK.

As each gown is made to measure and each bridal look requires a range of varying fabrics, I don’t keep a huge amount of stock fabric in the studio. I have plenty of samples and your design often speaks with what fabric will best suit the look you’re going for.

DO YOU OFFER ALTERATIONS?

Yes! If custom design isn’t for you and you’ve already found your dream dress but slight or major alterations are needed I would love to help you!

HOW MUCH WILL ALTERATIONS COST?

Standard Bridal alterations tend to average at $500

However can range from $300 - $800(+)

WHEN DO I BOOK MY ALTERATIONS?

1-3 months out from your wedding date is standard.

However, it is VITAL you book in your fitting as soon as you know when your dress is to arrive, to ensure there is availability to have your alterations completed in time.
